Dear all,

At the following link http://www.ceecec.net/handbook/
you can find a handbook presenting different environmental conflicts
around the word where local communities, NGOs and scientist worked
together to solve or analyse them. It is an interesting, though rather
long reading, but from p. 325 you can found the so called glossary
which is very valuable document in itself.
Accessible also as a separate document here
http://www.ceecec.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/THE-CEECEC-GLOSSARY.pdf

In the glossary you can find many of the terms, we will come across in
LUMES (i.e. indicators, assessment tools, concepts etc.) thoroughly
presented. For each term both pros and cons are given as well as a
list of references from where you could dig even deeper. I found it
very useful to get a basic understanding of some sustainability terms.

In 2012 a book called ECOLOGICAL ECONOMICS FROM THE GROUND UP,
Earthscan, London will be published in case you are interested.

Kind regards,
Ivo (Batch #15)
